Local infrastructure projects demanded a high volume of spec aggregate, requiring the ground-up development of a new pit in the Kootenay Rockies. The site required heavy civil expertise to transition safely and efficiently from raw, untouched land to a fully producing quarry.

The FAFO Execution

FAFO took absolute control of the site, executing a true turnkey pit development. We managed the initial clearing, stripped the overburden, and engineered the necessary haul roads. From there, our crews executed the precision drilling and blasting of the rock face, immediately feeding the oversized rock into our mobilized crushing spreads.

We delivered a highly organized, fully operational pit. By handling the entire extraction lifecycle in-house—from the first tree cleared to the final spec aggregate produced—we provided a seamless, single-source supply chain that kept local infrastructure projects moving forward.
