EXECUTION & LOGISTICS

The Challenge

A legacy extraction site in the Okanagan had devolved into an operational bottleneck. It was a highly disorganized pit suffering from uneven floors, neglected waste piles, and chaotic staging areas. The client needed to extract over a quarter-million tonnes of high-demand concrete aggregate, but the site’s condition was crippling production.

The FAFO Execution

We mobilized our crushing spread and heavy support fleet to completely overhaul the operation. FAFO systematically rehabilitated the site: we leveled the pit floor to allow for safe, high-speed hauler traffic, and executed exploratory testing to locate premium feed material. Instead of just pulling new rock, we screened and blended the neglected, messy stockpiles, turning forgotten waste piles into highly profitable pay products.

The Result

We turned a disorganized liability into a massive asset. Through precision crushing, screening, and blending, we produced over 250,000 tonnes of premium concrete aggregate to meet high market demand, all while leaving the client with a structurally sound, highly optimized pit for future extraction.
